CareDx launches cell-free DNA-based non-invasive detection product for kidney transplant rejection

CareDx (CNDA), a Nasdaq-listed company based in California, USA, recently released AlloSure, a non-invasive detection product for rejection after kidney transplantation.

AlloSure is the first non-invasive test product on the market to directly assess graft damage. The gold standard for acute rejection detection in traditional kidney transplantation is through renal tissue biopsy. This method is invasive and cannot be used as a routine clinical follow-up method. CareDx detects donor-derived cell-free DNA in the blood to indicate transplant kidney damage. The product has been clinically and analytically verified. CareDx reported that the AlloSure product can accurately detect acute rejection of kidney transplantation and more effectively manage the health status of the transplanted kidney.
