Recently, the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission officially announced the list of companies in the "Shanghai 2021 Technology Innovation Funding Plan for Small and Medium-sized Technological Enterprises Proposed Projects".AlloDx’s “Organ Transplantation Liquid Biopsy Solution” project was successfully selected.

The "Technological Innovation Fund Plan for Small and Medium-sized Technological Enterprises" is a special fund support plan established by the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission for the city's small and medium-sized technological enterprises in accordance with the "Shanghai Science and Technology Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Technology Innovation Fund Plan Management Measures". The innovation funds mainly support enterprises that are engaged in the research, development, production or services of high-tech products and have innovative capabilities and high growth potential, and focus on supporting innovation and entrepreneurship projects such as the transformation of scientific and technological achievements with strong independent innovation and independent intellectual property rights in the high-tech field.The selection of the organ transplant liquid biopsy project represents the recognition of AlloDx’s technological innovation strength and achievement transformation capabilities in the direction of transplant diagnosis.

my country ranks second in the world in the number of annual organ transplant operations, and the field of organ transplantation is also transforming from a quantitative scale to a quality-improvement type. It is currently estimated that there are 300,000 organ transplant patients in the country. Rejection is the main factor affecting the long-term survival of the graft. Currently, rejection is mainly diagnosed through pathological needle biopsy. However, the risk of needle invasion and patient compliance limit its application.AlloDx uses its independently developed ID-Tag patented technology* to detect donor-derived cell-free DNA, thereby knowing the health status of the graft, which is of great significance to improving the patient's survival.Because it is non-invasive, real-time and safe, it is called the "liquid biopsy solution for organ transplantation".
