AlloDx Multi-site DNA Methylation Model for Predicting SRNS Selected for a Poster at ASN 2024

Recently, the research results of the AlloDx R&D team on "Prediction of SRNS by Polymethylation Site Model" were invited by the American Society of Nephrology Annual Meeting, the most influential in the field of kidney disease in the world, and will conduct poster presentations at the ASN 2024 Poster Session and Top Trainee Poster Session respectively.

Glucocorticoids are the first-line treatment for patients with nephrotic syndrome (NS). Approximately 20% of patients with nephrotic syndrome present with steroid-resistant nephrotic syndrome (SRNS). If SRNS can be identified before initial treatment, the potential side effects associated with subsequent steroid use can be reduced by using alternative immunosuppressants. Through research, the AlloDx R&D team discovered and confirmed the correlation between gene methylation changes and SRNS. At the same time, by detecting multiple CpG sites of specific genes, they established a model that can predict SRNS and achieved good AUC values ​​in both the training set and the validation set.
